Fun Kids is the radio station for children and their families. Listen on DAB Digital Radio across the UK, on mobile and online at funkidslive.com. If you have a smart speaker, such as Amazon Echo or Google Home, ask it to “play Fun Kids”. Our programmes are a mix of music, games and silliness, specifically aimed at 6 to 12 year olds. We also have dedicated pre-school programming - under the Fun Kids Junior name - weekdays from 9am to 3pm. Some of the songs we play are from TV shows and kids’ films, others are from the charts, some are from nowhere in particular but we know that our listeners like to get up and dance when they come on. There are also lots of stories on Fun Kids every day, weekly competitions, fun features, and recommendations of family events and things-to-do. After 9pm, the music changes to Fun Kids Nights. These songs are ideal to relax and chill out too - mainly for the benefit of the grown-ups, but safe for children to listen to as well. Fun Kids also has a popular website (funkidslive.com) that reflects what’s happening on the radio station, along with entertaining stories, videos and quizzes. We also produce a range of family-friendly podcasts and upload lots of videos to our YouTube channels each week.

Takeover Radio is a community radio station broadcasting on FM to Leicester, to the Ashfield district in Nottinghamshire and on the World Wide Web, specialising in helping 'kids' gain experience and direct participative involvement in radio broadcasting. It is open to entry to children within the 8-14 age bracket. Created in 1996 it enjoyed several years output as a programme format on short term temporary licence stations. Takeover Radio's first full time broadcasting output was achieved with the award of one of the first 15 licensed UK Pilot Access Radio [1] stations by the (then) UK Radio Authority in 2001. This was followed by the grant of a Community Radio licence by the now current UK Government regulator Ofcom in 2005.
