98.9FM is the first Indigenous radio station in a capital city, 98.9FM has grown exponentially since it first went to air on Tuesday April 6, 1993. With a great blend of Country and Indigenous music, the station now attracts a large and diverse audience.
Royal FM is an indigenous radio station based in Ilorin. Operating on 95.1MHz frequency, the radio is the first indigenous radio station in Ilorin, Kwara State, North Central Nigeria. Designed as the station of choice for the youth and the young at heart, the station has completed the installation of a back-up studio in Lagos to stand by for the ultra-modern Ilorin studio. Programmes on the station are designed to encourage local content and launch indigenous stars into international limelight leveraging on the use of ICT.
Radio Larrakia 94.5 FM is an Aboriginal Community Radio Station established and controlled by the Larrakia Aboriginal Traditional Owners of Darwin, Northern Territory Australia.In 1998 Radio Larrakia was established to give a voice to Larrakia to 'promote Larrakia culture and language to the Darwin and surrounding region through broadcast media. From 2006 Radio Larrakia commenced broadcasting in over twenty six Indigenous languages providing twenty fours hour a day of Indigenous community information, interviews, community services, music and programming. Radio Larrakia developed and implemented the Indigenous Broadcasting Training Program to provide training and full time employment opportunities for Indigenous people in the Darwin Northern Territory region.
