WERU Community Radio

CJTR is a volunteer-driven radio station that gives voice to our community through diverse and unique programming. We offer an eclectic, wide-ranging selection of music, as well as spoken word performance, sports, public affairs, education, health and other types of broadcast content relevant to the community.

KKFI is an independent, non-commercial, non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-based, community radio station. Our vision is to provide a broadcast voice to the voiceless...to those in our community who are otherwise un-represented or under-represented by mainstream media. Our eclectic music programming includes blues, jazz, reggae, rock, hip hop, alternative, Hispanic and world music. Our local and national public affairs programming includes shows dealing with working class, peace, justice, LGBT, and alternative health issues. KOOP is a community radio station owned and operated by its members. Any member of the community can apply to produce a radio program, and KOOP provides facilities and training. KOOP has about 60 different locally-produced programs airing every week, in time slots of 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Each of these programs is produced by an individual member or by a collective of members. KOOP provides a diverse array of programming, emphasizing programs that deal with local issues and/or serve communities which are under-served by the mainstream media. We generally schedule music programs during the day, and news/public affairs programs in the late afternoon.

PBA-FM enables a diversity of interests to have a voice in the public life of our community. We provide a forum for many voices at a time when increasing numbers of people in the community may feel excluded or limited in their capacity to take part in the social, cultural and political life of their community and country. Programming at PBA-FM is as diverse as our community and we encourage diverse, fresh, innovative and entertaining programmes. We have more than 20 non-English speaking programs and many varied music programs to suit all styles and tastes. Many local community groups, ethnic, religious and special interest groups also broadcast their own programmes on PBA-FM.

KGNU is the independent, noncommercial, community radio station for Boulder, Denver and beyond. We are a mission-driven, nonprofit media outlet. We are not beholden to corporations or the government. We do not broadcast advertisements, and we do not accept underwriting from major corporations. Our bottom line is to provide real journalism and diverse music, not to maximize profits. The majority of our operating budget comes from you, the listener. We are community-powered. Volunteers produce, host, report, DJ, administer and govern the station. We broadcast 18-20 hours of locally produced programming per day. We provide hands-on training for volunteers.
