Developed at what was then Mitchell College of Advanced Education by dedicated staff and members of the community, 2MCE began broadcasting full-time in May 1976.The early broadcasts were via a 170 watt transmitter and a bizarre aerial on top of the M.C.A.E. library.

Noosa Community Radio is a not for profit, independent community broadcaster founded in 1994 and run by volunteers. They began broadcasting 24/7 in 1997. Each of their programs is unique, with all their presenters playing their own choice of music that they love and enjoy, so you’ll be sure to get a wide variety of music, news and views with their programs. They also tell you what’s going on locally, airing news and views on what’s happening in the communities forming their audience.

Your local radio station has a full community broadcasting licence so it's run by our community - for our community.This means it can program the widest possible variety of program to truly reflect the diversity of tastes and interests of The Moreton Bay Region's residents.

92.5 Phoenix FM is the officially licensed Community Radio for Dublin 15. The Station currently broadcasts 68 hours per week, during mornings, evenings and weekends. The output of the Station, under the terms of our broadcasting licence, is mainly talk based with an emphasis on local news and community affairs. We are funded by sponsorship from local businesses, grants from funding organisations and our own fundraising in the community.
