River FM

5GTR FM 100.1 is the Mount Gambier's community radio organisation, with over 50 volunteers and announcers from all areas of the community. 5GTR FM was the first community radio station in country South Australia, and is the longest running rural community station. We support local and visiting musicians, cover local events and allow recording artists live airplay to increase their exposure. This ensures we keep in touch with the community and allow them to keep in touch with us.

KGNU is the independent, noncommercial, community radio station for Boulder, Denver and beyond. We are a mission-driven, nonprofit media outlet. We are not beholden to corporations or the government. We do not broadcast advertisements, and we do not accept underwriting from major corporations. Our bottom line is to provide real journalism and diverse music, not to maximize profits. The majority of our operating budget comes from you, the listener. We are community-powered. Volunteers produce, host, report, DJ, administer and govern the station. We broadcast 18-20 hours of locally produced programming per day. We provide hands-on training for volunteers.

Our DJs play a wide range of music reflecting a diverse range of tastes and we will be supplementing this programming with talk shows discussing issues of local and national importance and interest. The station plans to strongly feature the local arts and music scene and provide a vital resource to the Fargo Moorhead community.

XRAY.FM is an independent, not-for-profit radio station which supports the Pacific Northwest’s music and arts communities. It fulfills its educational mission through airing local public affairs programs featuring voices seldom heard on radio, and broadcasting a diverse array of music, with a focus on new, local, independent, and experimental recordings. XRAY.FM also serves as a resource for training community members in radio, broadcasting, and digital media.

Student Youth Network Inc., operating as SYN Media /sɪn/, is an Australian youth-run not-for-profit organisation providing media training and broadcasting opportunities for young people. Commonly referred to as SYN, the organisation produces new and independent media that is made by and for young people in Melbourne. Founded in 2000, today volunteers – all aged 12–25 years of age – produce a radio station broadcast on FM radio and DAB+ digital radio, as well as content for television, print and online. A 2006 McNair listener survey showed a similar age group, 15–24, as the largest age group listening to community radio in Australia.
